Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Threshold ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Threshold regarding your use of the App and its services.

Description of Service

Threshold is a faith-based mobile application designed to help users develop consistent Bible reading habits and track spiritual growth. The App provides:

• Guided Bible reading tracks and devotional content
• Spiritual growth assessments and progress tracking
• Community features (Circle groups) for accountability
• Personal journaling and reflection tools
• Reading reminders and notifications

User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent to use the App.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post content that is offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Use automated systems to access the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Share another person's personal information without consent

Circle Groups and Community Features

Circle groups allow users to connect for accountability and encouragement. When participating in Circle groups, you agree to:

• Treat other members with respect and kindness
• Keep shared information confidential
• Not share inappropriate or harmful content
• Report any concerning behavior to us

We reserve the right to remove users from groups or terminate accounts for violations of these guidelines.

Content and Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Threshold and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Scripture quotations are sourced from public domain translations or used with appropriate permissions. Attribution is provided where required.

Content you create (journal entries, reflections, notes) remains your property, but you grant us a license to store and display this content to provide our services.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Some features may require a paid subscription (Threshold+). By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay all applicable fees for your chosen plan
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Manage subscriptions through your app store account

Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable.

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Threshold is a spiritual growth tool and is not a substitute for professional mental health services, counseling, or medical advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

Survey assessments and progress tracking are for personal reflection purposes and are not clinical diagnoses or professional evaluations.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Threshold and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
